Stir the Pot Saturday: Week 47

Welcome back, everyone! Just a quick reminder of what our goal for each and every Saturday is: Stirring the pot is the act of causing trouble for the sake of your own amusement. So we here at Comic Booked would like to formally invite you to discuss, debate, and start some shit talkin’ about the characters, the creators, and the storylines given to us from the industry we all know and love, hate, and love to hate. So let’s quit wasting time and start the mud (or web) slinging!

This Saturday’s question: Should comics change to fit big screen adaptations?

So go forth and debate! But be sure to back up your responses. Don’t be scared. And don’t give up. After all, no one likes a quitter. And you’re not a quitter, are you?

They already have, and there is no stopping it.

Marvel has already ruined their Universe to match their movies. The result is a massive mess that makes no sense at all and gives us nothing but confusing numbering and characters being suddenly changed for no other reason that a stupid movie.
Changing DECADES of history just because of one movie, regardless how much money it made, is stupid.

It's also why I read less and less from Marvel. They aren't making comics for the fans anymore, they are targeting the people who watch the movies and have no interest in the comics. That makes no sense to me. But I've only been reading Marvel since 1990 so I know my opinion doesn't mean anything.

Skott I'll always remember how you were the one who pointed out to me that the covers themselves were even changed to look more like movie posters.
