April is the perfect month for a wedding and Marvel has announced a major one. With Deadpool #27, we are seeing the final destruction of a madman as Deadpool’s insanity has finally destroyed any sense of reason that he may have had. Our favorite merc with a mouth will sign his own death warrant and march to his doom dressed in a tuxedo and surrounded by his friends… or at least people who tolerate him, sometimes.
Actually, this looks to be a spectacular wedding, based on Scott Koblish’s cover that was released by Marvel comics today. Even Devil Dinosaur and Fin Fang Foom make the guest list. The Watcher is in the crowd despite the previous teaser that he will wind up dead soon. Maybe he sent a crappy wedding gift.
I think this will be a very interesting turn in Deadpool’s life, given the recent things that he has had to deal with. Remember that back in “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly” story arc of the Deadpool ongoing series, he had to deal with finding out that he had a daughter he never knew and that she was killed along with the woman that he had loved. Could this be his next step in trying to have a normal life? Only time will tell, but I can tell you that this is one book that is not coming off my pull list. You should be reading this!

I used to like Deadpool but ever since the Marvel NOW! series started it feels like those bad years of SNL where they were almost begging people to laugh at their ‘jokes’
i just love how the character and the various creative teams just continue to embrace the absurdity. should be fun!
