The Hulk And Green Lantern are my two of my favorite comic book characters. In a way they kind of reflect the two sides of my personality. The one side of me that just wants to just smash everything, and the other side of me that wants to shine his light on the world for the good of humanity. Welcome to my weekly column. Where I will be choosing two things each week. One I want to smash, and one I want to shine my light on.
Hulk angry because all new all different Marvel started this week.
Wait, What? Slow down big guy, this is only the first week, and we have known for months now that it would be starting here in October. Why are you angry?
Don’t make Hulk shove power ring up your ass, Hulk have very good reason here. Just shut up, and listen for second. Hulk angry because it happen when we still only just got Secret Wars #6, this week. There still two more issues to complete story. Now Hulk want to wait to read anything before Secret Wars done. Hulk not good at being patient, and Hulk already have big list of things he want to read piling up already. Hulk understand that writers and artists need time to finish sometimes, but this could have been planned better. Only thing keeping Hulk from smashing Marvel right now is paycheck still cashing, and Hulk not one to shit where he eat.
Ok, I get you now. At least Convergence finished just as the new DC You started.
Exactly, light boy. Now you’re turn to cheer Hulk up, with good news. You better have good news this week.
Fortunately I do, as I am always good at seeing the light through all the darkness. The first great thing about this week, is a pretty obvious one. One of the biggest events of the year for comic book lovers is going on, with the New York Comic Con. As usual it’s been a week of exciting news, like Marvel adding 4 new movies to it’s schedule, and a week of true cosplaying masters showing up at the con. There was even a guy who showed up in Hulkbuster armor. I really admire how far some of these fans go with their costumes. It’s a lot of hard work, and truly a labor of love. I barely get dressed up for Halloween, and am still painfully shy when I do. These guys go all out and fully commit to their roles in costumes sometimes. This light bearer really admires their pluck, and the truly positive nature they bring to Comic Cons all over the country.
That is cool. Hulk just wish someone dressed up like him to smash Hulkbuster. That only thing that make that better.
