Fall Television Preview: A to Z

A to Z

Comedies are rare on network television but NBC brings two new ones to the game tonight. A to Z will follow Bad Judge on Thursday nights.

Are you tired of romantic comedies? Let’s hope not because this one is definitely that. The show centers around two people that have a chance meeting at a club one night. He swoons, she goes home. Years later, they find themselves working near each other. He thinks it’s fate. She could care less. He believes in fate. She thinks it’s chance.

The show follows the two along as they get to know each other. It is typical romantic comedy flair but may have just enough staying power to hold on for a while.

The title refers to the main characters names. A is for Andrew, who is played by Ben Feldman of Mad Men fame. Z is for Zelda and she is portrayed by one of the most iconic and anticipated actresses of our time. She is not an award winner. She is not even a recognizable name. But actress Christin Milioti is well known. She is the mother of How I Met Your Mother.

A romantic comedy that centers around the guy being the hopeless romantic. A show that gives the title role to Cristin Milioti. There may be just enough here to keep people interested.
