There are a lot of various variants and store exclusives out there these days. But when an outlet like eBay(A website with an extremely large web presence but that does not typically make exclusives and comic book variants) gets in on the game, you take notice.

And they have.

Marvel Comics has paired eBay and MyComicShop with superstar artist John Cassaday to produce the exclusive variant. The book itself is limited to three thousand copies. It gets better. The book is only $5.99. Oh but wait! It gets better  yet: Shipping is free.

Head on over to this link: ebay.com/spiderman to secure yourself a copy. As of this writing, approximately one third of all available copies have been sold. That is amazing but keep in mind that it has only been a few hours. These will be gone quickly. Do you want to know more before you buy one? Keep reading my friends.

This latest volume of Spectacular Spider-man finds the creative team of  Chip Zdarsky (writing) paired with Adam Kubert (Art), Jordie Bellaire (Inks) and Travis Lanham (Letters).  The “regular” cover features art by Adam Kubert and this eBay Exclusive variant will give you a chance to own Cassaday’s variant.

Here it is below. If it looks familiar, it should. The cover is an homage (or cover swipe for those of you that prefer the term) to 1971’s The Amazing Spider-man #100, a book written by Stan “The Man” Lee and featured an iconic cover by John Romita, Sr.:
