The folks at Image Comics will be putting the finale to Rob Liefeld’s Bloodstrike in the back of issues four through six of the current volume of Youngblood.
In the press release (below), Rob Liefeld commented; “Bloodstrike fans have been beyond patient as I work towards completing the saga I originally envisioned that ties directly into larger plans for my Extreme vision for my Extreme Universe,”
Volume 1 of Bloodstrike began in 1993 and ran for just over 20 issues. A new volume continue the numbering forward to issue 33 in 2012. Then in July of 2015 another volume was started that only went to its second issue.
This ending to that Bloodstrike saga will be in a “flipbook format” and will not raise the cover price of the issues! What say you, Bloodstrike fans, are you excited to see closure to the story?
Image Comics is pleased to announce that the action-packed BLOODSTRIKE finale story by Rob Liefeld will be serialized in the backmatter of the forthcoming Rob Liefeld’s YOUNGBLOOD #4-6 written by Chad Bowers with art by Jim Towe. Issue #4 will hit stores this August.
Previously in BLOODSTRIKE, a new recruit to the Bloodstrike program, (his identity as a mystery man from the historical Extreme Universe soon to be revealed!) struggles on a covert mission and loses his life as well as his junk to the mysterious Tragedy Ann!
In YOUNGBLOOD #4 Shaft rides a motorcycle straight into danger. When the world’s most extreme bowman goes rogue, it’s up to the new Youngblood to stop him before he ruins everything. Or worse, gets them all killed.
YOUNGBLOOD #4 hits stores on Wednesday, August 9th.

Cool way to finish the story. I guess I need to find issue 2 of the recent Bloodstrike series now. Youngblood has been way better than I thought it would really be when I picked up issue 1 a couple months ago. I hope this continues with other extreme universe titles that are coming down the road.
