Baturday: Two shows fall a bit and comics rise

Baturday

Happy (Halloween and) Baturday, everyone!  Batman’s great, so hopefully you see lots of kiddos and adults dressed up as our favorite Caped Crusader.  Before we get to the reviews, I have to get something off my chest.  It’s about the two Batman shows without Batman in them.  If we’re being completely honest, Arrow peaked with the season three finale.  And Gotham is starting to drag a bit.  Ramp up the action on Arrow and give us some more procedural cop drama shenanigans on Gotham and get us all back on track.  You’re losing viewers, showrunners.  Figure it out and make your triumphant return to greatness as soon as possible.  Okay.  There’s that.  Let’s focus on the great comics this week.  Here are my reviews of all things Batman from the week of October 31:

We are Robin #5 – My Rating: 3/5

Robin: Son of Batman #5 – My Rating: 5/5

Batman and Robin Eternal #4 – My Rating: 5/5

Gotham 2.6: “By Fire” – My Rating: 3/5

Arrow 4.4: “Beyond Redemption” – My Rating: 3/5

All-Star Section Eight #5 (of 6) – My Rating: 4/5

Deathstroke #11 – My Rating: 5/5

Gotham by Midnight #10 – My Rating: 4/5

Justice League: Darkseid War: Batman #1 (One-Shot) – My Rating: 5/5

Justice League 3001 #5 – My Rating: 3/5

New Suicide Squad #13 – My Rating: 4/5

Batgirl #45 – My Rating: 4/5

Grayson #13 – My Rating: 5/5

…and my pick of the week is…  GRAYSON!!!

So there you go, folks.  What was your favorite Batman book this week?  And do you agree or disagree with my statements about Arrow and Gotham?  (And, in a bit of a tangential stray, I dare ask your thoughts to the Supergirl pilot?)  Let us know in the comments section below and we’ll see you next week bright and early for a thrilling (and hopefully more positive TV version) of Baturday!
