Baturday is going monthly for a while, to make way for the new column (which you hopefully read yesterday) and add a little bit of time for side projects for your CCO here at Comic Booked. There were a lot of great releases this month for the Dark Knight and his friends and foes, and I’m not going to lie… it was really difficult picking a best book this month. ..and my pick of the month is… BATMAN!!!
Arrow seems to be simultaneously picking up and dragging, Legends is still a lot of fun, and Powerless makes me laugh every week. As for the comics, the Bat books are great. Nightwing was a close contender for pick of the month, as was Detective Comics. And Super Sons. And Titans. But that Turtles crossover was on the radar as well, so who knows. It’s a great time to be a Batman fan. And I’m glad to see that DC has abandoned the rest of their great properties (like they essentially did in the New 52, or as I like to retroactively refer to it, “the Batman universe”).
