Will Pfeifer Returns to DC Comics

batman

It’s been six years.  Six LONG years.  And this lifelong Bat-fan is pretty excited to see one of his favorite writers return to not only DC Comics, but take over a book that has been a favorite since the relaunch in 2011.  That’s right.  In March of next year, writer James Tynion IV will be moving to co-write Batman: Eternal, leaving a space for a new (or in this case, not-so-new) writer to fill his shoes in the pages of Red Hood and the Outlaws.  And that person is none other than Will (Catwoman, Captain Atom: Armageddon) Pfeifer.

DC has been relatively silent about this creative change, offering up that artist Rafa Sandoval will be joining Pfeifer as well as cover artist Phillip Tan.  but the solicitation seems to be mentioning only Jason Todd and Starfire, with no word on Roy (Arsenal) Harper.  Does this mean he dies?  Does it mean he’s joining the cast of Green Arrow?  Or does he just not appear in the issue (or the solicitation)?  Only time will tell.

But enough about that.  Check out that awesome Jason Todd cover for Red Hood and the Outlaws #29, which hits stands in March of 2014!
