Jason Dube owner of Scattered Studios and creator of such comics as “Panda Days”, “Scattered”, and “Caffeine Poisoned” sets out in an all new direction and explores a more mature reader frontier with is first horror comic entitled “Shadow Hunters” with “Shadow Hunters” #1 which will be debuting at the SAC Horror Convention September 24th at the Scottish Rite Center in Sacramento California.
“Shadow Hunters” takes us on a journey or should we say “hunt” with four very unique women Jessika, Jenna, Renea, and Firewire; but these just aren’t any women
by any means you see like I said these are very “unique” women since beneath their skin and clothing (what little clothing there is on) are some of the world’s most horrifying monsters. “Jessika” is a werewolf but if you’re thinking “Oh ok, another werewolf” this incarnation of the legendary creature is more feral dog a lot more ferocious than any wolf and primal, then there is “Jenna” a vampiress who was of bloodline decent until she rebelled against her clan and battles daily with fighting the urge to feed off human blood, now we come to “Renea” the leader of the group who just happens to be a very powerful witch, sorceress, spell caster, whatever you want call her she really doesn’t care. As the leader she lays out the plans and monitors the teams activities and movements from any location she is in (including the shower) and last but not least there is “Firewire” a technical genius she can fix, build, or hack anything having to do with a technology. She not only has brains but also beauty, no one can resist her. She’s not bragging when she states this, it’s a fact for she holds a secret that will be revealed later.
The four will be on a quest to defeat a very old and dark enemy and try to stop him before he kills again and tries to engulf the world into darkness; they have laid a trap that could end it all but will it work in time or will it fail and the world is covered in darkness, on top of their plans a new species will arise a new type of undead creature called a “Feeder” which is a zombie abomination that is even more ruthless and far more cunning; how long have they existed and why is there a special blood works force trained to combat these terrors, and how will the women be pulled into two different battles?
Jason Dube, who is writing the comic, and Benny Jordan, who is handling the artist duties, are set to bring fans of both comics and horror a very stylized and unique twist to not only the monsters we thought we all knew but also within the landscape of the story lines that are planned will break many of the traditional rules and keep reader’s guessing as to where it will the characters in their journeys; Jason Dube promises to take his readers on a “wild ride” through the supernatural and
unlike his previous comics, his fans will be walking on the wild and dark side.
Jason Dube has many things in store for his creation and artist Benny Jordan is the man behind the art, he brings the story to life and most of all brings the women to life as makes them not only strong but also draws them very sexy (beware the drool factor) and readers will be talking about the interpretation of the werewolf and be amazed in the design of the “Feeders” and how he brings action and sex appeal all together in a classic manner.
