Web Comics Wednesday! – OTHER PLANETS

Michael Wirth 08/03/2011 Reviews

In celebration of the release of Cowboys & Aliens, we’ve decided to take a look at a few web comics that take place on other planets. With a never-ending universe out there, we are sure to see some interesting and amazing things.

If you’re new to this, here’s the scoop: Each Wednesday we will showcase five indie web comics. Each will be categorized and judged by ART, STORY and APPEAL. This will give you an opportunity to support indie artists and the amazing work they do.

This week’s comics will explore OTHER PLANETS. Without further ado, let’s GO!:

A panel from the web comic TERRA.Comic: TERRA
Story & Art: Holly Laing

About: In the year 2057, mankind came in contact with an alien of equal technology and sophistication, the Azatoth. On Earth, many rejoiced the news as a chance to learn more about the universe and the purpose of existence, while others feared the uncertainty of the change it would bring. Thankfully, the aliens showed no interest in creating conflict with the humans, and, for a few decades, relations between the two species prospered. Unfortunately, these prosperous times were not to last. After over fifty years of peace between the two species, a devastating attack was made. These events led to the beginning of the First Contact war, which continues to wage in the Milky Way galaxy.
