Can’t wait for tonight’s Season Five premiere of Burn Notice? Well, USA Network is teaming with DC Comics to provide something a little different for Burn Notice fans this season.
An interactive online graphic novel, called “Burn Notice: A New Day”, is available free of charge at usanetwork.com. So you can read it online, or get a special version available for smart phone users. The graphic novel is also available on Facebook and as a freestanding iOS and Android app. And there are all kinds of interactive games, pictures, videos, and puzzles to solve along with the graphic novel.
The novel picks up after the Season Four finale, and Michael Westen (played by Jeffrey Donovan on the show) is in Washington D.C. with Raines, the mysterious man from Michael’s past. Armed with a complete list of the people who burned him, Michael will “unofficially” help the CIA dismantle the nefarious organization that he’s been fighting for the last four years. The job won’t be easy though. Danger lurks in every corner as the lines blur between new friends and old enemies.
To keep fans coming back for more content, there are twelve chapters in Volume 1 – one new chapter every week. And the stories will include all of your favorite characters from the series as well as some familiar enemies. And I’m certainly hoping for some Bruce Campbell in the comic, playing Sam Axe, as well. And Gabrielle Anwar as Fiona Glenanne. Please!
The webcomic is penned by Burn Notice writer Ryan Johnson and script coordinator Peter Laylaynis, illustrated by Tony Shasteen and overseen by series creator Matt Nix. The TV show, Burn Notice, returns Thursday, June 23 at 9 ET/PT on USA.

Any word on a printed version? I have no interest in digital ‘comics’ of any sort but would LOVE a real comic book of this!
Yes, that would be awesome! I’ll pick up the digital version, but it has to come out hard copy too.
I’ll have to see if there’s any news on an eventual hard copy. I agree, it would be ideal!
please keep me in the loop on hard copy of Burn Notice
