Trailer Park Tuesday: December 16, 2014

Trailer Park

Welcome to the first installment of the Tuesday Trailer Park here on Comic Booked. This is the part of our show where I share a bunch of movie trailers and tell you stupid things about them that you would already know if you just watched the dumb things. Why? Because I have nothing better to do… Well, that’s not true, but I do enjoy talking about movies and stuff. So, enjoy.

Our first trailer is a brand new one. Christian Bale, having led the enslaved Isrealites to freedom in Exodus, is now jumping into the deep end of the pool for a movie that pushes us to take a journey… no, to make a journey, “from darkness to light”. This is just a taste, but there is a lot of emotion in this trailer. I am intrigued. Check out the trailer for Knight of Cups.

Inside Out – We all have those voices inside our heads that tell us to do certain things. Pixar has put together a great looking movie about just that idea. This looks great and I can’t wait to see it.

The Divergent Series: Insurgent – If you saw Divergent, then you know that this was a pretty cool movie. Sort of Hunger Games-ish, but it had its own flavor that added in the idea of not belonging while giving it a dash of rebellion to feed the rebel in all of us. Now, the next chapter in this story unfolds. Take a look.

The Gunman – From the start of this trailer I was a little unsure. I have seen some great stuff that Sean Penn did, but some have also fallen flat. This movie, though… wow. I am very excited. An assassin who is dumped by “the agency” has documented all the “bad things” he has ever done and threatens to reveal them to the world. This, of course, paints a huge target on him. Now, he is fighting for his life and his love. Really good looking film from the director of Taken.

Black Hat – A super-hacker is targeting the financial markets, well, not just the financial markets but that is how it starts, and the only person who can challenge him is a man who is in prison, convicted of hacking and serving a 15 year sentence. This looks like a pretty good action movie with a tech twist. Check out Chris Hemsworth without his mighty hammer.

Cinderella – Live action interpretation of the classic Disney movie. Not much more I need to say about this, although it does look like a pretty good movie.

That’s it for this week. Any movies that you are all looking forward to next year? I will look for new trailers for next week.
