Top Ten Tuesday: Worst Comic Book Dads

Jeff Hill 06/03/2014 Features

Sometimes there’s a reason a villain becomes the person he or she is destined to become.  And sometimes, no matter how noble the intentions, some heroes just aren’t meant to be fathers.  So, in preparation for the upcoming Father’s Day list of best comic book dads, we’re here to point out some that aren’t exactly the best.  In fact, the argument could be made that they are the worst.  Here they are:

1. Bruce Wayne, Batman

2. Reed Richards, Mr. Fantastic

3. Mephisto

4. Darkseid

5. Thanos

6. Cyclops

7. Ra’s al Ghul

8. Carmine “The Roman” Falcone

9. The Red Skull

10. Baron Strucker

Red Skull Kills Babies

Agree?  Disagree?  Surprised to see some on this list and wondering if there’ll be some doubling up next week?  We want to know your thoughts.  Join us in the comments section below!

About The Author

Jeff Hill is a moderately reformed frat boy turned writer/teacher living the dream in Lincoln, Nebraska. He does freelance work and writes fiction, none of which is about corn or the husking of corn. His work has appeared in over a dozen publications and his mom has a binder full of printed copies for any doubters. Plus, he's the Chief Creative Officer of Comic Booked. So that's pretty neat, too.
