Top Ten Tuesday: Dumbest Comic Book Resurrections

Jeff Hill 08/05/2014 Features

It’s only fitting that this week’s focus for Top Ten Tuesday be the flip side of the coin from last week’s entry.  In the midst of celebrating the inevitable (and hopefully awesome) return of Batman’s son, Damian Wayne, we’ve collected a list of the top ten worst, lamest, and absolute dumbest comic book resurrections.  Whether it’s a clone of a clone of a clone, an actress who wasn’t really her, time travel or alternate reality versions, or simply just the end-all go-to bringer-backer that comic scribes both great and lazy love and adore, MAGIC, we’ve got it covered.  Here they are!

1. Aunt May Parker

2. Maxwell Lord

3. Cable

4. Hawkeye

5. Green Goblin (Harry Osborn)

6. The Punisher

7. Queen Hippolyta of the Amazons

8. Kraven the Hunter

9. Alfred Pennyworth

10. Iron Man

Alfred Returns as Outsider

So there you have them.  Agree?  Disagree?  Need an explanation or a venting session?  Sound off in the comments sectoin below.  See you next Tuesday, folks!

About The Author

Jeff Hill is a moderately reformed frat boy turned writer/teacher living the dream in Lincoln, Nebraska. He does freelance work and writes fiction, none of which is about corn or the husking of corn. His work has appeared in over a dozen publications and his mom has a binder full of printed copies for any doubters. Plus, he's the Chief Creative Officer of Comic Booked. So that's pretty neat, too.
