Top Ten Tuesday: Best Comic Book Moms

Jeff Hill 05/06/2014 Features

Last week, we talked about the worst comic book moms.  So it’s only fitting that this week, with Mother’s Day this coming Sunday, we talk about the best comic book moms.  So go buy your mom a card, be nice to her for an entire day, and act like a non-jerk for a while.  It’ll do you some good.  In the meantime, check out last week’s Top Ten Tuesday and be happy that your mom isn’t on that list.  After you’ve done those two things, check out this list, devoted entirely to comic book moms in all of their greatness.  No crappy moms allowed!

1. Susan Storm-Richards, the Invisible Woman

2. Martha “Ma” Kent

3. Queen Hippolyta

4. Aunt May Parker

5. Jessica Jones

6. Lara Lor-Van

7. Sara Pezzini, Witchblade

8. Julia Carpenter, Spider-Woman/Arachne

9.  Margali Szardos of the Winding Way

10. Queen Medusa

 Invisible Woman

So there you have it.  Who’s your favorite comic book mom?  Sound off in the comments section below!

About The Author

Jeff Hill is a moderately reformed frat boy turned writer/teacher living the dream in Lincoln, Nebraska. He does freelance work and writes fiction, none of which is about corn or the husking of corn. His work has appeared in over a dozen publications and his mom has a binder full of printed copies for any doubters. Plus, he's the Chief Creative Officer of Comic Booked. So that's pretty neat, too.
