Top 5 Sexiest Female Mutants

Aaron Clutter 05/14/2014 Features

In the spirit of giving you all the information that we can possible dump on your head, here is a massive Marvel menagerie of beautiful but powerful female mutants. I will admit that this list is probably a bit biased, since it is from my viewpoint. If you don’t agree and think you could do better, please, message me. We here at Comic Booked are always looking for people who want to express their opinions and passion about comics.

I have been reading comics since I was in 5th grade. I will tell you that some of the first comics I collected were right around the first Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars. That was the one with the Beyonder, not Nick Fury. So, I have seen a lot of comics in that time and a lot of mutants, since the X-Men used to be my all time favorite team. I wanted to give you a list based on sex appeal, mutant abilities, and several other classifications. Then again, I may just include the ones that show the most cleavage. Either way, everyone wins, right?

 #5

Jean Grey - I was going to label this one “50 shades of Grey”, but I found out that was already taken. You have to admit that Jean Grey was/is a very sexy mutant. She has gone from having simple telekinetic abilities to full-blown world devastating Phoenix Force powers and back again… and back again. First appearing in X-Men #1 back in 1963, she has come a long way.

#4

Emma Frost – I can’t include the Black Queen without also including the White Queen. I am pretty sure these two have shared more men than any other ladies in Marvel history. First appearing in Uncanny X-Men #129, Emma Frost has had a sordid past and played every part there is to play in the mutant game, so far. Her powers are definitely something to contend with, running the gamut of psychic powers (telepathy and telekinesis) as well as the awesome ability to transform her body to diamond. What is not sexy about that?

#3

Rogue – One of the most troubled mutants from any team, Rogue’s powers are not just the ability to copy someone’s powers, but to absorb the whole of who that person is, their powers, mind, even their attitudes and mannerisms. Just touching her bare skin can activate her powers, and since first appearing in Avengers Annual #10, her life has been a lonely one full of fear and anxiety. She has found happiness in the past, and can fight with the best of them, but she will always be a sexy mutant.

 #2

Psylocke – Betsy Braddock started out as a prim and proper young British lady who was happy tagging along with her brother, Captain Britain. Since her first appearance back in 1976 in Captain Britain, vol. 1 #8, things have changed for this young woman. In 1989, Uncanny X-Men 250-251 saw Betsy abducted by the Hand ninjas, physically altered, and brainwashed to be a super-sexy ninja assassin. Talk about a complete overhaul for this character. Either way, she fits right in at number 2 on our list.

Honorable Mention

Storm – I could not leave Ororo Munroe off of this list. She has been everything from a goddess to a queen to a lowly thief, but still kept it sexy. She first appeared in 1975’s Giant Size X-Men #1. She has died and come back to life as many times as almost any X-Man, one time even coming back as a younger version of herself.

Finally, we come to the end of our list. Now, you may disagree with any or all of the choices made above, you you will have to admit that each of these female mutants is sexy in their own right. They are powerful, have had troubled lives, and many have sacrificed much just to survive. But, who could possible top this list? Only the most versatile lady mutant of all.

#1

Mystique – Raven Darkholme first came busting on the scene in 1978 in Ms. Marvel #16. She could be called a hot mama, being both the biological mother of Kurt Wagner, Nightcrawler, and the adoptive mother of #3 on our list, Rogue. She has been a member of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, Freedom Force, X-Factor, X-Men, Marauders, Dark X-Men, among other various spy agencies and has worked as a freelancer. Her age is unknown based on her ability to manipulate her appearance. She is deadly and sneaky and all around one of the most feared female mutants, currently posing as S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Dazzler while still running the island nation of Madripoor as a safe haven for mutants. She tops my list. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that FHM’s Sexiest Woman of the Year also plays her in the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past.
