3. Deadpool
The Merc with a Mouth is definitely required to be on this list. From his first appearance at the end of New Mutants Vol. 1 to the absolute ridiculousness in his adventures that followed (and let’s not forget the Agent X title which was just plain… something) Deadpool has always been someone you expect to show up. As the only Marvel hero to break the fourth wall continually (and I don’t count Squirrel Girl’s companion throughout the Great Lakes Avengers miniseries), Deadpool brings some insanity to it while still (sometimes) doing the right thing. He had a fling/relationship/something with Siryn (of X-Factor, daughter of Banshee). We now have a Deadpool Corps running around (including Zombie Deadpool’s head) – so what does that tell you of the insanity? And now as a member of Uncanny X-Force Deadpool can finally have that X on his costume.. and it be legit!
