Titan Comics wants to know, are you sitting comfortably?

Titan Comics announced the creative teams for two of their upcoming Doctor Who ongoing series, and gave us all a look at the covers for the first issues of Doctor Who: the Tenth Doctor and Doctor Who: the Eleventh Doctor. No word yet about when to expect Titan to announce the inevitable Peter Capaldi series. That news will probably have to wait until we know when the show will be returning to our TV screens. Then we will know who be handling the writing and art chores for Doctor Who: the Twelfth Doctor.

DOCTOR WHO: THE TENTH DOCTOR #1 from TITAN COMICS DOCTOR WHO THE TENTH DOCTOR #1 from Titan Comics

THE TENTH DOCTOR IS BACK, IN AN ALL-NEW ONGOING SERIES! NEW COMPANION! NEW HORIZONS! UNFORGETTABLE NEW FOES! ALLONS-Y!

Eisner Award-winning writer Nick Abadzis (Laika) and fan-favorite artist Elena Casagrande (Angel, Suicide Risk, Doctor Who, Star Trek) take control of the TARDIS for their first five-issue arc with the Tenth Doctor! And don’t miss the second arc, by fellow series architect Robbie Morrison (Drowntown, Nikolai Dante, The Authority)! Regular cover by Alice X. Zhang

DOCTOR WHO: THE ELEVENTH DOCTOR #1 from TITAN COMICS

DOCTOR WHO THE ELEVENTH DOCTOR #1THE ELEVENTH DOCTOR RETURNS IN AN ALL-NEW ONGOING SERIES, WITH A TIME-TWISTING LEAP INTO THE UNKNOWN! GERONIMO!

Series architects Al Ewing (Loki: Agent of Asgard, Mighty Avengers, Trifecta) and Rob Williams (Revolutionary War, Ordinary, Miss Fury, The Royals: Masters of War, Trifecta) kick off a whirlwind adventure through eternity for the Eleventh Doctor, with artist Simon Fraser (Nikolai Dante, Grindhouse, Doctor Who)! Regular cover by Alice X. Zhang

Both series hit your local comic shops (in North America) on July 23.

In an odd bit of licensing rights, neither series will be available to buy direct from shops in the UK. A different company (Panini) has the comic rights to Doctor Who in the UK. So that means there will be a British company (Titan Comics) making comics about a British property (Doctor Who), that can’t be sold in UK. That may change if the rumor about Titan buying Panini ends up being true.
