Comic Booked 06/03/2010 Reviews

The Green Lantern statue is not part of the contest I added that to make it look nice.

Alright folks we are heading into the final stretch of Green Lantern week and I’m not sure we here at Comic Booked are seeing how much you truly want these collectible rings. So send us in some e-mails or comment either here or on our Facebook pages folks. What Lantern Corps would you belong to? Why?

I would most likely belong to the Indigo Tribe.

Being a compassionate being, in the truest sense, is often difficult for most to discern. Many of my actions, like the Indigo Tribe's, seem idiosyncratic and almost the antithesis of compassion, but upon further inspections make perfect sense. As an educator, I am faced with difficult decisions every day and the only way to make the tough ones is to use unmitigated compassion. Being capable of making these decisions unflappingly is what makes me a good teacher, and I feel a good person.

Giving someone assistance and a helpful nudge is easily construed as compassion. Failing a student or allowing someone time to struggle is harder for most to justify as compassion, but it truly is. If a student is unprepared it would be irresponsible and hardly compassionate to allow that student to move onto a level that is beyond the scope of experience or ability.

I only use the educator example because that is the easiest to explain. Having an unclouded compassion makes decisions that may seem brutal or difficult easier and being that I have honed the skill of unmitigated compassion, I feel that I would most likely belong to the Indigo Tribe (despite that fact that I wish I were a Green Lantern).

I'd belong to the Indigo Lanterns. I tend to be very understanding and compassionate toward others. While I am not very social, I still care about people.

Seems as though – unless you are somewhat of a badguy – you only have 4 to choose from: Green, Purple, Blue, and Indigo… I guess I would have to go with Blue/Hope because I tend to be a person that supports and advices friend. maybe?

Hi, just had a quick question. How would I be able to get a hold of a white ring (other than the contest), local comic book store didn't get them for some reason was wondering how you got yours.

E-Bay would be your best bet if your local comic store doesn't have them
