Kickstarter Spotlight|The Power Principle

ks1
The Power Principle is the brain child and lifelong dream of comic book creator, Alan White. The project has been in the works for over thirty years now, and this Kickstarter is injecting a new lifeline to the shelved comic series.

As the story originally started in 1982, there has been a natural progression over time. The founding concept has morphed and aged alongside the creator. The goal of $7000 will enable Alan to revive his vision and bring this story to a whole new generation. The comic has an initial run of eight issues and this is what the new series is about:

“Thirty years have passed for Terry, Langston, Nicky, Steve, and Lance, the superhuman Clinton House Boys.

One has fulfilled the dream of becoming the next big name in comics. One has become a therapist. One has married the cute girl next door. One was killed thirty years ago. And one has become the Director of a watchdog organization protecting world citizens affected by the first new outbreak of superpowers since theirs happened in ’82.

Now their lives collide again, compelled to save a deaf young violinist who seems to hold the key to this new superpower epidemic, while they learn to slay the demons of their past and become heroes for the present.”

On the The Power Principle Kickstarter page you will find a wealth of information about the project. There are details about the 1982 series and what the redux hopes to achieve. Alan White also has a video pitch (seen above) which adds a very intimate and human perspective. It is interesting to see how he has drawn from his own life experiences and reflected that emotion into his work. There are many rewards on offer and one may well be spoiled for choice. In short, there is something for everyone and all budgets have been catered for. There is not long left on the kickstarter so please visit the page here.
