What terrible awful thing is attacking Asgard this time around? Odds are this is a story that will cross-over between Thor, possibly Young Avengers and Journey Into Mystery, the only title to not get renumbered during the onslaught of new number one titles thanks to the Marvel Universe shake-up better known as Marvel Now! Here is the official press release:
Looking at the writer this is going to be Journey Into Mystery. My hope is that it's going to be a self-contained story and be the result of what Lady Sif has been doing since she took over the series.
I really hope it isn't a crossover with Thor (because I don't like that book) and Young Avengers (a book I am looking forward to: Gilled and Loki? Yes, please!) because this series has not really had to many issues on it's own since it started. It has 27 issues and only 5 have not been part of a crossover or event. Yet, despite that, the book has been one of the best Marvel has been putting out AND it wasn't pointlessly 'relaunched' when this whole Marvel NOW! fiasco started.
I would love a nice run of JiM where it wasn't part of an event, especially now that it isn't headlined by a major character. It really needs to be able to stand on it's own. I know it can.
I'll bet it is.

The future of Marvel is uninteresting as well.
