Next month Marvel‘s Avengers Assemble book will be putting out it’s 7th issue focusing on Thanos. The cover will look to familiar to most fans of old school Marvel. To be honest, between that and the fact that this book seems to be following the Avengers 2 rumors I’m tempted to pass on this book. However, Marvel is smart and knows how to convince me out of money because it’s by the amazing team of Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley, the super-star talent that arguably breathed new life into the Spider-Man franchise years ago. Take a look at the preview images. Bagley, like a fine wine, has greatly improved over the years. His work on Ultimate Spider-Man was great, but these pencils look fantastic! What do you think? You guys going to check this title out? Here’s the Press Release:

Marvel is pleased to present your first look at Avengers Assemble #7 from the blockbuster creative team of Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley! The Avengers are hot on the heels of Thanos as they try to stop his quest for intergalactic power. But when the Mad Titan has a cosmic cube in his possession, Earth’s Mightiest will have to team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy to defeat him. Can their combined might stop Thanos’ conquest? Find out in Avengers Assemble #7 available at comic shops worldwide, the Marvel Comics app, and Marvel Digital Comic Shop this September.

I really hope Thanos is explained by the end of this arch. None of this makes sense. If it ends up making sense I'll pick up the trade for this arch because I'm a sucker for Marvel Cosmic.

Wow you aren't kidding that artwork is awesome. I often wonder how other artists look at themselves in the mirror that work for Marvel.
