It was just announced the Colts will be releasing Quarterback Peyton Manning this Wednesday March 7, 2012. This news was dropped from ESPN’s Chris Mortensen earlier today. Peyton has been a stable at QB for over 10 years in Indianapolis. He no doubt is a Hall of Famer and everyone knows whoever replaces him has some big shoes. All indications are that rookie sensation Andrew Luck will be the next Colts QB. But there have been some rumblings that Tony Stark wants to give the NFL a shot.
Tony Stark aka Iron Man has done it all so far in his lifetime. He has stood toe to toe with some of the greatest superheros in the world from Captain America to Thor. Tony Stark is one of the most outspoken leaders within the Avengers and feels this skill alone will wield success with in professional football.
He now wants to try and throw his way to the Big Game this coming year. How would the league treat this billionaire playboy? He is outspoken and not afraid to say what is on his mind. He has the money and the fame to bring success to this franchise. Could you imagine him flying into the game as Iron Man and becoming Tony Stark the QB of the Colts right in front of your eyes? It sounds like a great plan, but could this alcohol loving, witty talking, reckless playboy make it in the big leagues? Tony Stark has also been called somewhat self obsessed before, so would that translate to being a team player for a football team? He even stated it when Nick Fury came for him to become an Avenger.
I thought I didn’t qualify, apparently I’m—what was it?—volatile, self obsessed, and I don’t play well with others.
But he can play well with others. He has the mindset to take charge. He can lead a team and he can bring some hype to a team who just lost their greatest player Peyton Manning.
How about this. Let’s bring in The Hulk to be one of his linemen; actually the Hulk will be the entire offensive line. Because we all have seen what happens when that guy gets angry. It is not a pretty site and he pretty much destroys everything in his path. Then we will have Thor as Tony Stark’s running back. He could swinging Mjölner to clear his way for the touchdown that would cause many defensive players to have nightmares before they played these guys. These guys would take over the nickname the “Big Three”. Sorry Miami Heat… you got nothing on these guys!
Remember, you can catch Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and The Hulk in theaters this May 4th 2012 in the film the Avengers. Check out the trailer HERE!
