UPDATED: New episode is now available to listen to here!
This weekend on 3 March Melbourne is hosting the second annual Big Arse Comics event. Showcasing an excellent selection of artists – with notably quite a few local stars in the mix – the event promises to be a great experience for comics fans, not to mention the local Australian artistic community.
Sixsmiths and McBlack creator – and Big Arse organiser – Jason Franks joins the Comic Booked Podcast to talk about the show, touching on many of the creators featured, such as Ben Hutchings and Paul Mason, before giving an update on his own new comic magazine Terra.
The lads also talk quickly about the eye-catching Youi Insurance advertising campaign that heavily featured comics from Aussie publisher Black House Comics, a publicity coup by any measure.
So check out the latest episode of the Comic Booked Podcast to learn more about what comic creators in Australia are doing to make an impact.
