If you are a big Spider-Man fan and you like to play video games, then you are not special; however, this game might be. Today at Marvel.com pics of the alternate costume versions were posted and the choices included are a Spidey fan’s dream. Full gallery here. The ultra cool black leather Noir costume on the cover along with symbiote, traditional Parker blues and reds, and O’Hara’s 2099 suit, are only the first part of the looks for Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions, available September 7th for XBox 360, PS3, DS and wii. Sorry no PC version. View the gallery here. Pictures of the alternate costumes are there, but no descriptions of any extra power you may obtain for wearing them. There is however a brief description of each costume including the first Spider-Man issue featuring that costume here. If you want to receive some Uni-Powered cosmic Spidey fun (a cosmic suit for all dimensions), you will need to pre-order through GameStop. If not, you can still enjoy unlocking the Scarlet Spider, Negative Zone, Spider Armor, Mangaverse, and the Stark tech Iron Spider suits. Any long time Spider-man fan will LOVE the addition of these alternate suits. A nod to the history we have all followed for so long. This game appears to contain everything a Spider fan is looking for. Amazing graphics, classic villains, innovative web attacks, symbiotes, and now all the Spider-Man looks you have known and loved.

Even with Marvel vs Capcom 3 releasing next spring, this game might have me more excited. While it was really cool watching Deadpool rip the energy bar off the screen to hit someone in the Marvel vs Capcom 3 trailer, the game play and depth that a Spider-Man multiverse is going to offer is something I could get lost in. Each dimension looks like a different Spidey game. Sneaking through the Noir or swinging with flying cars in the 2099 dimension will be completely different types of fun. Why not add a dimension where you can swing a hammer made of webbing and a Carnage battle as well? They did. I have played just about all the other Spider-Man games made in the U.S. and this game looks like every “wouldn’t it be cool if” conversation I have had about them. If you have yet to see any of the trailers for this game, take a look at the official trailer below.
