After Secret Wars and with the advent of the All-New, All-Different Marvel Universe, Miles Morales was famously folded in to the prime Marvel Universe. Historically, he lived in the Ultimate Universe, a universe that catastrophically collided with Earth-616, for an Ultimate End to both universes. This spelled the end for the Ultimate Universe but not Mr. Morales who found his way through Battleworld, through Secret Wars and in to a post-Secret Wars Marvel universe which was both strangely familiar and yet all-different to him.
Spiderman # 1 launched on February 3rd 2016 to positive reviews and heightened anticipation. With the success of his first volume, expectations were high for this new, second volume as well. Written by Brian Michael Bendis with art by Sara Pichelli and coloring work done by Justin Ponsor. The monthly title has done well in sales. It was the 4th highest selling book in February when it launched with just under one hundred thousand in sales, only bested by Star Wars, Miller’s DKIII and the ever-popular Batman. So you eagle-eyed readers may have noticed in the solicitation at the top of this article that Sara Pichelli’s name is absent and replaced with Nico Leon. If the book has done well and is projected to continue doing well, especially rolling in to this summer’s Civil War II event, why is Sara Pichelli off the creative team?
Marvel has not released a statement about this specifically however Bendis mentioned it recently on his Tumblr page
“I think one of the reasons you like it is because of the time it takes to make it. so to get something as special as Sara’s artwork she needs the month. and that’s okay with me,” Brian stated and then; “The new issue will be coming up very soon I think it’s rather subtly the best issue we have done together.”
So we have not only a reason for this new artist but also the potential of Spider-man moving to a bi-weekly schedule.
Nico is extremely proud and happy for this opportunity. It wasn’t too long ago that he did not know how to draw or even – according to him – had the means to draw. He has recently done work for Marvel on All-New Inhumans, Guardians 3000, Ms. Marvel, Mockingbird and has gotten his feet wet in Spider-man lore with Spider-Women Omega.

The Series ” Ultimate Comics Spider-Man Vol. 2 ” is literally the reason why I’m drawing comics, even drew before we meet the first issue of that series in the 2011. All the team behind that number one that I met by chance one day, I Blew the head, at that time was that I decided I was going to be a comic book artist and wanted to draw for marvel. I left everything to follow that dream, that goal. Even all the “Seguirdades” that might come to have a degree (I was missing a year and a half for me).
In June of this year, 5 years after that time, I’m going to get published in the continuation of the series that gave him sense and reason for existence to my I profecional.
The reason for this message is not autoalavarme, nothing else far away, but, try to say to everyone who read, that if you’re willing to give anything and everything for your dream, and when I say everything, that’s all, not a little bit, not much. But everything, if we don’t lose the way and you aim for the same purpose, sooner or later you’re gonna get. So you think you or make you believe that your dream is ridiculously impossible.
It says a person who 5 years ago I didn’t know how to draw, nor had the means to buy the necessary elements, and yet had the crazy dream of drawing spider-man for marvel and try to surprise the reader as much as that series what Surprised him at that time.
Not that there is “Concidero arrived” to my dream, this is only the beginning, artistically I feel as if I was just discovering the wheel when the team behind this series is already in the outer space. The challenge began now, this is not a point of arrival.
So that, go and meet your dream, carajo mierda, that life is short and anyway you’ll be treated wrong and it’s gonna hit you with all the sticks you have, that at least while she hits you, you’re doing it You like to do.”
