SD Spotlight: Sky High Comics!

As you may or may not know, The Blur was born and raised in beautiful San Diego, California. For most of my life, I bought all of my comics from one shop and I decided it was time to do whatever I could to get their name out there even more than it already is! I’ve supported them with my comic book buying through 3 different locations and they still have me coming back for more!

Sky High Comics has taught me more than any TV show or movie ever did about super heroes. They have classic and modern comics, incredible collectibles, and if you’re into it, a great collection of Magic: The Gathering merchandise!

Dave Self, the owner of Sky High comics has pushed through the steady drop of comic retailers and with his new location, it appears things are going very well. Every time I go into the shop there’s always customers inside. But not just ANY customer. The really nice, talkative comic book fans who are always willing to give you a tip on what you should get kind-of-customer. Not to mention they have really well prepared launch events!

Oh, so you don’t want to take my word for it? Maybe three years of winning Best Comics in San Diego will convince you! I’m sure they’ll nail 2011 as well.

The variety is great, prices are awesome, and the selection is always changing. Hell, even the posters on the walls are better than any other comic shop in town! On top of all of the epicness that is Sky High Comics, they also have the power to make you LOVE Tuesdays. I know I do. And it’s because of 2$ Tuesdays! Every Tuesday, every back issue. Such a good deal!
