Preview: Daredevil #1

Nick Cavicchio 05/26/2011 Reviews

Standing in the aftermath of Shadowland, writer Mark Waid is poised to begin Daredevil’s return to form. Beginning this July in Daredevil #1, Matt Murdock begins the task of retaking New York City. But in the face of changes that will impact his friends, enemies, and even his role in the Marvel Universe, it’s a safe bet that this will be no easy feat! Indeed, as Daredevil: Reborn (the immediate follow up to Shadowland) has seen Matt wandering the country, perhaps the biggest question going forward will be whether or not the people of New York can trust him. In addition to Waid’s finely honed storytelling, the relaunch will debut in a double-sized issue and feature an art team consisting of Paolo Rivera and the extraordinary Marcos Martin.

I don't know how I should feel about this. Why marvel had to take and ruin a perfectly good Daredevil is beyond me…

To be fair, Mark Waid inherited the mess. I'm not sure if I'll be picking this up or not, but either way I choose to be hopeful.
