The Amazing Spider-ManFeature
Today the latest trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man video game has been released. The game, being developed by Beenox for Activision, will be available for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, later this summer to coincide with the release of The Amazing Spider-Man film that is scheduled to drop on July 3rd. This installment of the game franchise is going back to the web-swinging, open-world roots of earlier Spidey games. The textures on the suit appear refined and sharp. During the trailer you can even spot famous NY landmarks like the Brooklyn Bridge.

Every time I hear about a game being released in conjunction with a movie my Spidey-senses start to tingle and detect potential trouble on the horizon. But who knows? Maybe this game can overcome history and be a departure from the usually dismal video game/movie tie in past. What else can I really say? Check out the new game trailer below and tell us what you think.

You should check out the Spider-Man 2 video game. It was extremely good. Easily the best Spider-Man game of all time.

    • I was about the say the exact same thing! The 'Spiderman 2' Game redefined how good a movie game COULD be, but then the 'Spider-man 3' game crapped all over it (much like the film did too).

I don't have a good feeling about this at all though, the graphics and visuals look kind of clunky in this trailer.

    - doubtful.

It looks cool, don't get me wrong. It's just so hard to sync the long game development cycles up with film releases, that too often the results can be disappointing. I'll give the game a chance before I pass a final judgement.
