New Injustice: Gods Among Us Story Trailer and Photos

Christian Johnson 01/30/2013 Reviews

We recently gave you a look at what to expect from NetherRealm’s upcoming fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us. Now it looks like we have a brand new story trailer for the game to go along with all the info we’ve been getting. The story trailer (seen below) should give you a better understanding about the plot and just why the heck some of DC’s most popular heroes and villains are fighting each other in an all out brawl. Additionally, we were treated to 13 new character pictures from the game.

Check out the trailer and the photos below:

Injustice: Gods Among Us debuts as a bold new fighting game franchise that introduces a deep, original story featuring a large cast of favorite DC Comics icons such as Batman, Cyborg, Harley Quinn, Nightwing, Deathstroke, Solomon Grundy, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Joker, and more. Set in a world where the lines between good and evil are blurred, players will experience heroes and villains engaging in epic battles on a massive scale.

All in all, I’m not completely sold on this game just yet. The graphics look great, and the story just might prove to be the best aspect about Gods Among Us, but the gameplay is what I’m really worried about. As you know, these kind of beat-em-ups can go one of two ways. Either it’ll bring something new to the table or it will rehash the mechanics from video games in the same genre. Needless to say, I’ll be keeping a close eye on all the latest coverage to come from the Gods Among Us front as the month’s roll by.

Injustice: Gods Among Us hits shelves on April 19 for PS3, X-box 360 and Wii.
