While we all knew for quite some time that a sequel to Arkham City was in the works, we now have confirmation of when to expect it down the pipeline. Speaking in a investors call (as transcribed by Yahoo! Finance), Time Warner’s CFO and chief administrative officer John K. Martin discussed a little of what to expect this year, including confirmation that there are in fact plans to develop a follow-up to the 2011 action adventure game Batman: Arkham City.
Check out what he had to say below:
Rumors suggest that the third entry to the Arkham series will a Silver Age prequel featuring various members of the Justice League of America. Though, these are just rumors. Nothing solid has been mentioned as of late. Whatever the case, I hope this game surpasses Arkham City as far as plot and scope. Heck, if there’s a Batman Lego game that has an open world environment, why not make the next Arkham game that’ll follow in the same footsteps?
We’ll update you as soon as more information surfaces. In the meantime, feel free to speculate on what this next installment in the Batman Arkham series will be about.

I loved the Arkham games. Can't wait for a new one
Maybe an adaptation of Tower of Babel, except Batman actually has to fight mind-controlled League members?
Glad to see them keep rolling on these.
