New Assassin’s Creed III “Boston Tea Party” Trailer

Comic Booked Guest Writer 09/27/2012 Reviews

We are just over a month away from the release of Ubisoft’s highly-anticipated new video game, Assassin’s Creed III, and today we got a new trailer! Previous Assassin’s Greed games have been set during the time periods of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, but Assassin’s Creed III is going to jump forward quite a bit to the American Revolution, promising to bring new excitement to this excellent series of games. A war and struggle for power between the Assassins and Templars set during the backdrop of revolution and the forging of a new nation? Sign me up! The Boston Tea Party is one of the best known acts of civil disobedience in all of history, so it’s not surprising that it’s featured in this new trailer.

As much as I have enjoyed playing through all of the previous Assassin’s Creed games, having so many installments that were not true sequels caused the series to stagnate a little. Look for that to change in Assassin’s Creed III. Besides just having a new historical period to explore, Assassin’s Creed III promises new levels of innovation that have been kind of lacking in the past couple of games. Assassin’s Creed III releases for PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 31st, with the WiiU version arriving on November 18th, and the PC version arriving two days after that on November 20th. In the meantime, sharpen your hidden-blade, brush up on your stealth and parkour skills, and check back in here at ComicBooked.com for all kinds of Assassin’s Creed III, video game, movie, and comic news.
