Memorable Spider-Man Team-Ups

tv-series

3. Some Amazing Friends

In the 1980s, Spidey returned to animated masterfulness (is that a word?) with a new series of him hanging out with 2 of his best buds: Bobby Drake (aka Iceman from the X-Men) and Angelica Jones (aka Firestar from the… wait, where was she from?) in the show Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends. Yes, this animated series created the character of Firestar for the Marvel U. The heroine then was moved into Marvel proper, premiering in an issue of X-Men as a member of the Hellions and then having her origin told in her own miniseries. She went on to be a founding member of the New Warriors, became an Avenger, and now is a member of the Young Allies (in her original costume, no less). Depending on how AvX turns out, do we think we could see this trio team up in the current Marvel U? (2 are Avengers, one is an X-Man, this could be a great A+X story, so long as everyone survives…)

  1. Wow! I didn't know half of these even existed, especially the Aunt May issue! Was that an actual story arc!?
