Max Payne 3 has a TV Commercial

Comic Booked Guest Writer 04/22/2012 Reviews

Max Payne 3 has a TV commercial– so it’s really going to happen this time, right? I mean, with the TV commercial out, there’s no way this video game can possibly be delayed again. If you have been following the highly-anticipated and much-delayed saga of Max Payne 3, you can’t help but be a little skeptical that Rockstar’s game would ever be released. Originally scheduled for release in late 2009, fans could do nothing but watch in horror as Max Payne 3 was pushed back to 2010, then 2011, then to March 2012, and now (finally) May 15th 2012. But hey, I’ll take delays over a sub par game getting rushed to the market before it is ready. Now an official Max Payne 3 TV commercial has debuted, so I am going to go out on a limb here and say, “this time it looks like the game is really going to be released.” Take a gander at the new Max Payne 3 TV spot for yourselves:

Not too shabby. In fact, this game is lookin’ pretty good. As a fan, I always panic when a game ends up in development limbo for too long. Too often, the game we end up getting looks dated right upon its release. But as the commercial reminds us, this is a game from Rockstar Games, the makers of the Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption series (curious that they don’t seem to want to remind fans about LA Noire). At any rate, Rockstar makes some of the finest games out there, so here’s hoping Max Payne 3 will be another mark in the “win” column for the developer.

Max Payne 3

Max Payne 3, is currently available for pre-order, and will be available on PS3 and Xbox 360 in North America on May 15th, and to the rest of the world on the 18th. North American Windows computer users can expect the game on May 29th, and June 1st for the rest of the world.
