When Marvel first revealed the news of the Point One book, due in stores in November, the intent was to promise fans a glimpse into what is to come in 2012. Then they followed up the news with additional snippets and teaser images, and their promises became bigger and more amazing. Now, Marvel gives fans a look at the two possible covers of Point One, leaving us to wonder what all of this can be about.

The foundation of 2012 is here! Kicking off in Point One #1, by the biggest names in the industry, fans can get the inside track to the hottest new series, the return of fan-demanded characters and a teaser that will leave jaws on the floor…demanding more! With legendary artist Adam Kubert and rising star artist Nick Bradshaw providing awe inspiring covers, no fan can miss Point One #1 – this November!

Art by Adam Kubert (Not final cover)The X-Men in their classic costumes! The Human Torch soaring triumphantly above the carnage. Not to mention the conglomeration of characters in Adam Kubert’s cover. There is so much going on in these two images that I don’t even know where to start. That’s not true. I’m really happy to see the Human Torch again. Is this a promise by Marvel to bring Johnny Storm back to the main Marvel Universe?

In the previous two posts, I didn’t bother to mask my excitement for this book. With these two images, I can tell you for sure that I’m even more excited now. I can’t wait for November so that at least a few of my questions will get answered. But more than that, I can’t wait for 2012 to roll around so that these stories can kick into full effect.

(Note: Marvel makes it plain as day that Adam Kubert’s cover is not final. But that doesn’t stop it from being an awesome piece of art.)
