Marvel Reminds You To Save the Date!

A wedding in the Astonishing X-Men Universe?
It is really no shocker that something big is about to go down in the Astonishing X-Men Universe.  Jeremy and John better grab their nets and grab that beautiful butterfly baby because it’s wedding season!  With the cast now focusing on Wolverine’s X-Men, consisting of Wolverine, Gambit, Karma, Iceman, Warbird, Northstar, and Cecila Reyes, it could really be anybody’s guess as to who could be getting married.   One thing is for sure, they will have to get engaged first so look for that to pop up in the very near future.

A wedding in the Astonishing X-Men Universe?Marjorie Liu plans to take Astonishing to the next level and this wedding may just be the thing needed to ensure that happens. Weddings have never gone as planned in the Marvel Universe; there are countless examples but this is supposed to just be a press release so I won’t bore you with my endless knowledge of Marvel weddings (plus it’s kind of sad how much I know my Marvel weddings).   But I think everyone can kind of see that whatever wedding is coming, won’t actually go down and some crazy event will start to unravel right before our very eyes, who knows maybe this will tie in with Avengers vs. X-Men?  Although Whedon was able to keep from having big crossover events in his run, the last few writers have not exactly followed his methods which is sad because I really liked that Astonishing was a comic you could follow all on its own.
