This is war!
Marvel is declaring war. On what or whom, we have no information aside from some teaser images including this one of Thor’s shattered hammer. More details will be provided next month at Comic Con International. At this point we can only speculate what any of this means. I get the feeling this might not be an event as much as post AvX status quo. Kinda like what Dark Reign was to Secret Invasion. So what does Thor’s hammer Mjolnir being broken have to do with any of this? I doubt they’d kill off Thor again after doing it in Fear Itself last year (only to bring him back in his own book months later), but who can say at this point? Ultimately, as a Marvel fan I just assume they’re declaring war on my bank account. Here’s the press release:
