Slated for a twelve-issue run, The Twelve was originally conceived back in 2007, to be released in 2008. Written by J. Michael Straczynski (Amazing Spider-Man, Babylon 5) with art by Chris Weston (Swamp Thing), The Twelve was the story of a group of obscure super heroes from the 1940s. The script concentrated on a number of characters that originally appeared in comics printed by Timely Comics, the company now known as Marvel.
Due to conflicting schedules on the part of both Straczynski and Weston, The Twelve was put on hold in the summer of 2008. Now, nearly four years later, Marvel is proud to announce that The Twelve will see completion.
The Twelve, one of the most critically-acclaimed comic series in years, makes its dramatic return this January, taking comic shops everywhere by storm once more!
