UPDATE:
Marvel sure loves their teasers. To be honest, I actually find them entertaining as well. All this week Marvel has been releasing teasers for the upcoming ‘End Of The Earth‘ story that’s starting in March in Amazing Spider-Man, along with a very interesting ‘Spider-Men’ teaser, all of which you can check out in the original story below.
Today, Friday, Marvel released a fourth teaser related to Spider-Man. This one shows what looks like an all-new outfit Spider-Man wears during his globe trotting battle with Doctor Octopus and his Sinister Six!
This story looks to be even bigger and better than last year’s Spider-Island!

ORIGINAL STORY:
Fresh off the epic Spider-Island event that ran through Amazing Spider-Man and various Spider-Man related mini-series and one shots in 2011 we have some word of the next big thing…or two!
Spider-Scribe Dan Slott has said he’s already knee deep in the next Spider-Man event and it looks as if it’s going to take Spidey to The Ends Of The Earth in a battle with a very Sinister Six! Marvel has released the following press release and a series of teasers to officially announce the event that begins in March’s Amazing Spider-Man #682:
The next big Spider-Man epic begins in Amazing Spider-Man #682, part one of Ends Of The Earth, by Dan Slott and Stefano Caselli! The Sinister Six, led by the vengeful Doctor Octopus, is back and they’re looking for revenge! Can Spider-Man & Earth’s Mightiest save the world before Doc Ock’s explosive endgame is revealed? Oh, but there’s more! Following this event is a mystery story that was recently teased with nothing more than a single image, a title(?) and a date:
“Spider-MEN” What does this mean? We’ll learn in June, apparently, but look at the logo here. It’s two different Spider-Man emblems combined. What we have appears to be the Marvel-616 version of the Spider-Man emblem, often referred to as the Original Spider-Man, and the Ultimate version of the emblem currently being worn by newcomer Miles Morales who recently stepped into the web following the death of that reality’s Peter Parker. So could this be the first official meeting of the 616 and Ultimate Universe? Is Kaine, the current Scarlet Spider, going to be involved? Perhaps this ‘Web’ that Madame Web is fond of speaking of truly does connect all Spider-Men and something big is coming that will require the different versions to stop…
I have to ask if, perhaps, Spider-Man 2099 might get some Spider-Action this year?
All in all, this is just more excitement and mystery involving Spider-Man in a year full of web-slinging action, and all we can do is hang on tight and enjoy the ride!
