In attendance with Mel (Caylo) and the Archaia team were Letterest Shawn DePasquale and writer Michael McMillian, both charming and playful gentleman with a clear love and passion for their work.
Along with the release of LUCID’s new spiffy hardcover comes an even more exotic and poised leather bound edition, which both McMillian and I agree brings a sense of Merlin to our own reality.
Lucid is a fabulous comic which I found in the shop one week and was so impressed with it that I decided to feature it on Comic Booked Indie before I had even had a chance to read the full series.
Needless to say, this volume ended as well as it began. Apparently I’m not the only soul who feels so for by that night last week Issue One had been officially sold out with no reprints to be found nationwide. However, you dear readers are in luck for you can all catch Issue One for free here to see if it’s up your Hardcover Back Alley.
If LUCID is indeed the sort of magical comic book tale you’d like to add to your faithful bookshelf’s collection you can pre-order it here at amazon or wait for the sun to fall on tomorrow, May 25th, 2011.
Yes, Wednesday, where LUCID will be sweeping the land in all it’s Hardcover glory for shops and shops to come. Given what I’ve seen of Archaia Entertainment and Michael McMillian’s Indie determination, it won’t just be stopping there. Get it while it’s hot. – N
