As the number of episodes left dwindles down to three, I am constantly reminded of all of the great times I’ve had with this show. The quotes I’ve repeated, the lessons I’ve learned, and most importantly, how much fun I’ve had watching Smallville for the passed ten years. We’ve seen familiar faces come and go, our beloved characters die, and Clark rise to the occasion in  just about every episode.

Well my fellow Smallville fans…one very sinister face is making a come back. Lex Luthor. That’s right! We’re getting THE Michael Rosenbaum back and I couldn’t be more pleased. After a season long rumor battle of no’s and maybe’s we finally got our yes a couple months ago. And now we have a teaser trailer for the finale, and guess who it shows the most? A very scarred, extremely dark Lex Luthor. (It just so happens that he is our character of the month!)

Here’s the press release from the CW!

May 13 series finale of Smallville:

BE THERE AS SMALLVILLE WRAPS UP CLARK KENT’S TEN-YEAR JOURNEY IN AN EPIC TWO-HOUR SERIES FINALE — The story of Clark Kent (Tom Welling) culminates in this epic two-hour series finale as Clark takes the last step to becoming the Man of Steel. With surprise guest appearances, nods to the first few seasons of the series and Michael Rosenbaum’s return as Lex Luthor, this final episode wraps up a decade-long story following one’s man’s journey to becoming the world’s greatest superhero. Erica Durance, Allison Mack, Justin Hartley, Cassidy Freeman, John Glover, Annette O’Toole and John Schneider also star. Kevin Fair directed “Finale Part 1,” which was written by Al Septien & Turi Meyer (#3X6022) and Greg Beeman directed “Finale Part 2,” written by Brian Peterson & Kelly Souders

It’s obvious that Darkseid will have something to do with Lex’s resurrection, but the question is…how?

Make sure you guys tune in and support Smallville! We need to give it some great ratings :)

I'm just so excited, but I'm also dreading the finale…

I have been excited about this season all season despite the fact that it is NOT delivering. I'll stand behind you in hoping this is the piece of genius we've been waiting for all year.

I have not followed Smallville since the beginning. This is for two reasons, the main one…NO cable, however that has not stopped me from getting them on DVD. Of course I only have up to season eight and regrettably only making it slowly through. There are some things I like, and some things I do not. I only bought season 1-3 because they were cheap and I wasn't going to continua on till someone else got me 4-8. I just find it very weird that all this stuff happens in Smallville and no one remembers it. Is it fun yes. Is it logical, no….but then again it is Superman….or will be.

CB…. I hope you enjoy how it ends. I for one will have to wait.

I hope so too you guys. And I also agree that this season hasn't been delivering considering it's the last season! I have a theory that they're saving all of their money for the finale. Let's hope they have a good budget for the 2 parter!
