JD Calderon created a wonderful fantasy adventure series called The Oswald Chronicles. Like most projects on Kickstarter, this series is a labor of love with roots in an original idea very dear to his heart. It started life as a web comic, and now the creative team wants to expand into a printed collected edition. It’s a great comic project with fantastic art. It’s a perfect present for that friend of yours who hates superheroes but loves fantasy. All you comic fans with girlfriends (yes, we do have girlfriends)? This would be the perfect gift for that special girl in your life. It’s got fairies, trolls, and a mouse with clothes. What’s not to like? Here is what JD has to say about his upcoming Kickstarter:
My name is JD Calderon a long time self publisher and current web comicer, please allow me to introduce you to The Oswald Chronicles a story about a daring mouse who’s looking for the meaning of his life and why he’s the only one of his kind who can speak. Living on Park Avenue in New York City Oswald finds himself the center of controversy amongst fae, Kalsions, and Grogs and the many other races that live alongside of man. How is a humble scribe and gentlemouse supposed to survive? Find out by pre-ordering the first trade paperback compilation of The Oswald Chronicles.
We’re looking to raise $5000. To cover printing costs and future production costs. The trade paperback will be 128 bw pages depending on the amount of pledges we receive, we’re hopeful that we’ll be able to reach our stretch goals and produce an even larger book for all of you and possibly even a colorful one if things go well. So please take a look at the previews provided below or visit www.theoswaldchronicles.com to see more of our adventurous little mouse and check out the rewards we’re offering to those who pledge.

The Kickstarter is set to end on October 30th. They’re offering a ton of great rewards, so head on over and check out all the cool things you can get for supporting this project. There’s still a long way to go, so give them whatever help you can. Even if you can’t afford to pledge, then at least post a link about it on Facebook or Twitter. Help JD and his fellow creators reach their goal!
