Game of Thrones Season 2…In All Likelihood, Even More Nudity

Well Baratheons, Starks, Lannisters and Targaryens, it’s that time of year again.  Fire up the hate machine, a new Game of Thrones season is upon us.  We’re a little bit lighter after last season, and I almost stopped watching.  I can’t emphasize enough the almost, because I’m back for more…I’m back for blood.

This season is sizing up to be cataclysmic.  Blood has been shed.  Money won’t cover that debt.  Brothers are fighting in far away lands.  An heiress is looking to stake her claim to what she believes is rightfully hers.  It’s all looking to culminate in a giant free-for-all, which almost guarantees that treaties will be made between families that hate and despise one another.  That awkwardness alone ensures for quality television.  Of course, those awkward treaties will be tested and strained, and that will end in someone’s feelings getting hurt.   Enough of my hypothesizing, let’s get down to what the trailer would have us believe…

JonSnowandGhostSPOILERS ABOUND REGARDING THE 1st SEASON.  IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED THE 1ST SEASON, STOP WATCHING.  I DO NOT KNOW WHY YOU’D BE WATCHING THE TRAILER FOR THE 2nd SEASON.  THIS IS YOUR FINAL WARNING.  I AM GOING TO HYPOTHESIZE BASED ON MY KNOWLEDGE OF THE 1ST SEASON.  ALSO, BANANAS

What I do know after watching the trailer and the 1st season:  Daenerys is gaining steam, and wants what her family originally owned.  Look for her to make a push into the Seven Kingdoms.

Robb is out for blood, Lannister blood.  The Starks have Jamie Lannister in their possession, putting Tyrion Lannister as the 2nd in command in the Lannister household.  Expect Tyrion to do big things this season, and fill in for Jamie (and yes, I expect the inbreeding to stop, hopefully).  It’d be awkward for Tyrion to fulfill that role.  Papa Lannister is preparing for all out war with the Starks, and that will be a treat, because we will see who unites with the Starks (I’m looking at you Arryn throne.  That child is way too young to be breast-feeding)

The wild card in all of this is Jon.  Does he abandon his post to help out his half-brother Robb?  Or does he perform his duties at the wall, where there is some rather questionable things going down.

The saying is:  “Winter is Coming”.  In this season I think we’ll finally understand its full meeting, with Jon and his crew interacting with those beyond the gate, included are those questionable folk that like killing everything, and zombifying their kills.

A Lannister always pays his debts, but some debts require more than monetary value.  Some require blood, and there’s plenty to be shed in this upcoming season

Fun fact:  Papa Lannister played the villain with the fake eye in Last Action Hero 2.

Yeah, I have no life…
