When it was announced that David Aja wasn’t going to be doing every issue of Hawkeye, I will admit it, I was kind of disappointed. David Aja’s art IS Hawkeye! Part of the brilliance behind the series is the simplistic yet incredibly artistic artwork. Unlike anything you see in Marvel Comics. But hearing about Francesco joining the ranks of Matt Fraction’s Hawkeye makes me ridiculously happy. Franceso is not only an award winning artist; no matter what he touches he makes a difference. Which is usually a good thing. Especially when we are talking about Marvel. Official press release below:
