Flashpoint Character Design Artwork

Flashpoint Character Design Artwork

The DCnU was formed based on the events in Flashpoint.  It was one of the best selling comics events for DC in a while and led to even more record breaking sales for The New 52.

Character concept designs have always been fascinating to me.  I love to see how artists conceptualize different characters, adding details here and there.  Some of the best work I’ve seen has come out of the Flashpoint event and the buildup into The New 52.  Andy Kubert and Jim Lee are two of my favorites and I am loving the work they’ve been doing.

FLASHPOINT was one of the most eagerly anticipated events in recent memory. For months leading up to the series’ release, we teased various character designs here on THE SOURCE – but we held off on some. Now, for the first time, we’ll be revealing some of Andy Kubert’s never-before-seen character designs each day leading up to the wide release of the hardcover collection of all 5 issues of FLASHPOINT, in stores next week.

I know I am one of many who are eagerly waiting to see Captain Marvel debut in The New 52 at some point.  Many characters were dumped or pushed aside when DC rebooted their line.  Although they are probably still around (hopefully),  we are hopeful that characters like the Marvel’s, Booster Gold and others will be seen again soon.
