FABLES #105 Cover Revealed!

FABLES #105 Cover Revealed!

Last month I posted previews for the covers of FABLES #102-104 which begins the “Super Team” story. Each cover is an homage to classic DC Comics covers from years gone by. Well, this past Friday, the cover for FABLES #105 was released along with some information!

Over at Graphic Content, the Vertigo Blog, the cover for FABLES #105 has been released! I now present to you another fantastic cover by Joao Ruas as well as the solicitation for this sure to be exciting issue:

In “Super Team” part 4, Ozma’s super team is ready to fight, but there’s a complication: Mister Dark isn’t the only one of the Great Powers on the warpath. The North Wind just blew into town with bad news for Bigby: His ghostly son must die. Talk about bad timing! Remember when Bigby promised his father that “The next time I come after you, I’ve made arrangements to make sure I’m able to Kill you”? That time is here! It’s father vs. son. Will Bigby survive one battle so he can help with the other?

Find out this May in FABLES #105, by Bill Willingham and artists Mark Buckingham and Steve Leialoha.

Fables #105

As you can see it takes after the famed Death Of Superman sequence from Superman #75, this scene was also the cover for the Death Of Superman trade paperback.

As for the solicit, Bigby taking on his father, the Great North Wind, is a major deal. Yes, Bigby claims to have a way to kill the North Wind and would probably be willing to do so on any occasion but you toss in a threat against one of his cubs and you have a very angry, violently protective Big Bag Wolf on your hands. This promises to be a barn burner, as they say, but the cover is where you find your impact. Fables covers have a history of giving little, and sometimes not so little, hints about what happens inside.
The question now is Will Bigby Die? Because in Fables if you die…you don’t come back.
