Empress, a Sci-Fi comic book by Mark Millar and Stuart Immomen for Marvel Comics imprint Icon is now officially in the works.

F. Scott Frazier has been tapped for script writing duties.  Both Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum will also be on board as a producer team.  In an article published by The Hollywood Reporter today, Millar is quoted as saying; ““In terms of pure concept, this is the most ambitious story I’ve ever come up with, so it needed the most experienced producers I’ve ever been in business with. Joe Roth is a genuine Hollywood legend and Jeff Kirschenbaum was part of the team that broke every record in the book at Universal last year. Even being on the same poster as these two guys is exciting to me.”

Millar with Kirschenbaum both worked together previously on the 2008 film adaptation of Wanted which starred Morgan Freeman, James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie.

Empress was release at the beginning of April 2016 to critical success and quickly sold out.
