Dig Into Your Cereal Box With the Justice League!

Comic Booked Guest Writer 03/08/2014 News

For generations kids across the world have jumped in anticipation of digging into a brand new cereal box to find that undiscovered prize! Pleasingly, General Mills has partnered with Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) and DC Justice leagueEntertainment (DCE) to add heroes and heroines to that exploration. Beginning in March of 2014, by purchasing one of the participating GM cereals, the Justice League will await you in one of four collectible comic books.

In true superhero fashion, specially marked boxes will also include cut-out costume pieces that will transform the imagination and encourage participation in a social media super movement. By adding #SuperHeroing to your favorite superhero cut-out costume pics on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter you’ll be able to show your strength, power and courage in true Justice League fashion! General Mills integrated manager Lisa Tomassen explained what the company hopes this initiative will spark, “We’re excited for people young and old to discover these comic books in their favorite cereals, giving them a strong, confident start to the day.” This promotion is continuing through April of 2014. If these initial stories leave you wanting more, part 2 of each of the 4 stories will be available to read for free online. A special 9th issue can be purchased on specially marked boxes of Cheerios exclusively at Target department stores. Once you grab a box of  Cinnamon Toast Crunch™ (12.2 oz. and 21.25 oz.), Lucky Charms™ (20.5 oz.), Honey Nut Cheerios™ (12.25 oz. and 21.6 oz.), Trix™ (10.7 oz.), Cookie Crisp™ (11.25 oz.), or Reese’s® Puffs® (13 oz.) you will join the Justice League on an adventure that will inspire and begin your day with the confidence of a superhero!

Have you had a traditional Saturday morning with the Justice League? Cereal, shows, or comics?
