Diablo III finally earned itself a release date of May 15, 2012, and excited players can hop onto the servers and start playing the second they go up by pre-purchasing the game digitally on Battle.net. Beginning May 15, players around the world will be able to return to Tristram and punch/kick/magic/bow ‘n arrow some demons back to the netherworld.
To secure your place as a barbarian, monk, demon hunter, witch doctor, or wizard, log into your Battle.net account and purchase and download your copy of Diablo III and you’ll be ready to play the second the servers go up. Though I’m sure there will be server lag. To the max.
World of Warcraft players that want the sweet deal of a free digital Diablo III copy still have the chance to get in on the World of Warcraft Annual Pass, but the promotion ends at the rather odd time of 12:01 A.M. PDT on May 1, 2012. When you sign up for the Annual Pass, a 12 month subscription to WoW that is paid in monthly installments, you receive a shiny-new digital copy of Diablo III, as well as an exclusive WoW mount, Tyrael’s Charge, and access to the upcoming World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria beta test.

Diablo III will be available for Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Macintosh at the price of 59.99$ USD for both digital download and retail purchase. For more details on the May 15 release and digital pre-purchase, make sure to check out the official press release.

Got roped into the WoW Thing. Haven't touched WoW in months….should probably start that up again or something. At least now I know when I'll be getting D3.
